A rare sight for a Michigan day in March.....sun and a lake clear of ice!! We had temperatures in the 50's yesterday, which was perfect for Kayaking! My mom and I braved the wind and took the kayaks our for their very first tours in March....ever!
The waters were calm for the first half of our trip.....and then waves began crashing up on the beach! We paddled a little faster on the way back to prevent the waves from entering our boats!
It was a great day for outdoor activity. I hope an early spring means a long and hot summer :) I could get used to this. Temperatures this week are expected to reach 70*!! Unheard of in Michigan.
