Bleak Midwinter

This was the very begining of February--we actually had sun for a day!
A very pretty sunset on Feb. 15th. This was taken at our boat launch on Dock Rd.
After a big snowstorm- we accumulated about 6 more inches of snow! Feb.21st.
Maisy was not too sure what all the white "stuff" was. Afterall...she's not allowed outside! :)

Christmas Vay-cay 2007

Here are a few pictures we would like to share with everyone from our Christmas vacation! These were taken in Moscow, ID and Bozeman, MT.

Dinner out in Moscow, ID with the Knapp's

This is right next to The Knapp's house in Moscow-U of I water tower. As you can see they had alot of snow! Their location is beautiful!

We spent New Years eve at a very "memorable" bar-definitly a memory!
I will never forget how we rang in 2008! :)

While in Bozeman, Justin and Emily went to the local college bars to see old friends. This is Megan-Emily's good friend from school....they suffered through statistics together and succeeded! It was so good to see eachother after 8 long months! She and Emily graduated together which was very special.

In recent news....

Happy February to everyone! I would first like to begin by catching everyone up to what's been happening in our lives.
Justin is currently finishing his Engineering Degree at Montana State University. He is working very hard to get that piece of paper! He and I spent Christmas vacation together with his parents out in Moscow, Idaho. We had 10 days of relaxation, eating alot, and enjoying each other's company. We then drove back to Bozeman, MT and spent the last few days of my vacation together. It was so good to be back in Bozeman after being gone 8 whole months since my graduation in May 2007. It was fun to be a "college kid" again for a few days. Take-out for dinner, pizza, and a night on the town with old friends was just what I needed! Justin is a busy guy with school and working at Bennigan's as a cook. In the spring when the snow melts he will be on the roofs of Montana residents all over. Justin has his own roofing company which has been pretty successful- he enjoys seeing his finished product while catching the hot summer rays on the hot black-tar roofs! He will be back in Michigan this summer for a couple weeks to enjoy the lakes, and the fishing adventures with my dad. Of course to see me too :) Let's not forget that! Justin plans to graduate May 2009-it's going to be one big celebration! We are very proud of him.
Emily graduated from Montana State in May 2007 with a Bachelors in Science- Health & Human Development: Family Science. I moved back in with my parents here in Traverse City. I am currently a graduate student at Western Michigan University (attending the university center here in town). I am in the Counselor Education & Counseling Psychology program and am enjoying it thus far. Balancing full time school, and workng 30 hours a week at Good Harbor Coffee is pretty challening, but I am making it work! I am very excited to get into the school systems soon and really begin my career. My estimated graduation date is May 2010.
Spring break is coming up soon and I am going back out to Bozeman to visit Justin for a week. I am very excited to see him again and see old friends. He and I have been maintaining a long-distance relationship since May. This is no easy task for us, but it will be worth it in the end. Passing the 5 year mark in our relationship we knew we could handle the distance-afterall we have done this before! We stay strong ( on our good days!) and encourage each other as much as possible. We try to always have a date set for the next visit- which makes time go by a little easier. And in 26 days I will be on my way out west!
I hope all of you had a happy new year- and stay tuned for our updates!
