Knapp Family Christmas 2010

It was our 2nd Christmas in our house this year. We got up at 7:30am and began our fun filled day of gift opening! The tree was perfect.
Candles were lit.

And Maisy guarded our gifts!

Our stockings were "hung" and stuffed!

Justin stuffed our stockings with iPhones! Such an unexpected gift!

Gifts from Idaho :)

Ties, shirts, and warm woolies!

My cute pink scarf- thanks Barb!

Justin got me a pink glittery snowmobiling helmet so we can ride together!

E+J A great Christmas at 7150 S. Lake Leelanau Dr!

We headed over to my parents house to open MORE gifts- and we are now NORDIC! We got XC skis for Christmas!!

My sister got her very first sewing machine--she was SO happy!

We gave my parents a personalized wedding album. They loved it! Just think....it was only 5 months ago!

My dad got a brand new flat screen TV- he almost fell over he was so excited! It was such a great day watching everyone open their gifts. For me it's the most gratifying part. Christmas has always been my most favorite time of the year, and 2010 was no exception. We got great gifts, and spent time with our family and friends. Bring on the new year!

The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Last weekend we headed back to Valentine's to help my family find THEIR Christmas tree!
Inside Valentine's cozy barn :)

Yup the tree at my parents house is HUGE.

It's about 14 feet, but so gorgeous!

Family photo- we don't get many of these anymore.

The tree looked so much smaller out in the field :)

My good friend Marissa and I bake cookies together each year. It's one of my favorite Christmas activities!

Candy canes, snowballs, trees, stars, and sleighs!

Knapp Holiday Party!

Justin and I decided to get all of our closest friends together for a holiday party last weekend. It was a huge sucess, and lots of fun! We had food, and lots of seasonal drinks :) Everyone came bearing white elephant gifts, and a dish to pass.
We had plenty of homemade eggnog on hand :)

The guys played chinese jump rope---a white elephant gift we received.

Kim and Adam were property dressed for the occasion!

The girls! Stacey, Rachel, Kim, me, and Krin!

I love the holidays. We loved being hosts for our very first big party in our house :) Merry Christmas!

Ladies Night!

Ladies Night: an excuse to shop Christmas sales downtown while sipping on local wines and munching on lots of FREE snacks! Kim and I started early and hit most of the downtown shops before the masses began. We stopped at Cherry Republic for a fun photo shoot in the crate of cherry pits!
I had never seen so many pits in my life!

Cheers to snowy shopping with girlfriends!

We ended with a yummy dinner at Bootlegger's.

Mmmmm french fries- perfect on a cold night :) Shopping really takes the energy right out of you. It was a great night! Until next year....

O Christmas Tree

Each year we make the trek to Valentine's Tree Farm to find that PERFECT Christmas tree....this year was no exception. We found a "cute" 7-footer!
With the help from our friends Kim and Adam...we had the tree cut down in no time!

This was the first year I didn't have to drag it :)

The stockings are hung...the garland, strung.

Maisy loves the tree every year....anything new of course is exciting to her!

Birthday Celebrations!

December 4th was my co-worker's husbands birthday....so we celebrated properly. Dinner...and then the bar! It's always a blast hanging out with Lori and Shawon!

Justin and Lori

The bar was filled shortly before this with a huge Christmas "pub crawl".

I typically am the only person in the bar to drink wine...

Thankful for Idaho

This Thanksgiving we packed our bags and headed to (snowy) Idaho to spend it with Bruce and Barb! We had no idea there would be so much snow.....and FUN waiting for us :)
The first Knapp family photo since our wedding!

Snow fell all six days we were there--it really began the feeling of the Holidays!

Thanksgiving table is set!

Cheers to Grandma Pryor's eggnog :)

Yep, we baked 4 pies....finished off 3 of them over one week!

We loved being snowed in with The Knapps! It was another memorable trip for us, and we are so thankful for our family!
