7 days from "I do"

It's been a couple weeks since i've posted. No new photos to post....sorry. There has been NO TIME to post anything, really. I'm officially one week from becoming a wife!! Does that sound crazy? It hasn't really hit me yet, to be honest. I think by the time I get my dress on and veil....that will be the true moment for me. Once all of our friends get into town this week, things will slowly become a reality!
The weeks past have been filled with STRESS, errands, organizing, shopping, phone calls, and more stress. It's amazing how a wedding can alter someone's personality :) I am typically not a stressed person. Small things don't bother me, and I roll with the punches. NOT SO MUCH this time!! I have become a huge stress ball, everything bothers me, I want things to go a certain way, and I have to have it organized just so. Totally out of character for me. I am tired of planning and just want the day to happen. I'm at that point now. One more week....
Yesterday Justin and I applied for our marraige license. One of the fastest and easiest things i've ever done!? Why is this?? Comitting yourself to this person, signing your lives away, and getting the "stamp" of approval only costs $20!?? Madness. The least expensive thing involved in our wedding! Imagine.......yet the most important.
Today is the day of my bachelorette party---eeeeeek (so excited!) I'll have some photos to post later on that. We've got a big group of girls coming so this is very good! Wine tasting our way around our best vineyards, dinner at my favorite place downtown Poppycock's, and then possibly some fun at our local bars :) "Tonights gonna be a good night."

4th of July weekend!!

What a weekend! We spent three fun-filled days with friends and family celebrating the 4th of July weekend. Here's a photo collage of all that we did :) Fireworks along the beach :) After a 90 degree day....we were completely exhausted!
Our friends Kim and Adam came to watch them with us.

Traverse City marina....the sun was going down, but it was still very muggy.

People gathered at the Open Space to get a good spot for the fireworks.

The morning of the 4th was SO HOT Justin and I went down to fight the crowds and go swimming for a couple hours.

Thousands of people also had the same idea :)

Saturday we watched the Blue Angels sir show!! They come every other year, so we couldn't miss it!

They are always VERY loud, and amazingly talented.

This was our view to see the show---free drinks and food :) We had the best seats in town!

Marissa came with us to the air show---we had a great time! A little sunburned....but fun!

Friday night my parents came over for our first official outside BBQ! We made steaks, and a delicious caprese salad you see above :) It was a perfect night for a cook out.

We used our new dishes and place mats! Very exciting.

I sipped on some chilled wine on the deck. We get direct sunlight most of the day/evening so it's always nice to sit on the deck!

Our flowers have begun to really POP! The sun has helped coax them out of their buds :) I love the yellow ones!

The view from our deck is so pretty, we are fortunate to have such BRIGHT evenings! If only we could see the lake from here ;)

Home sweet home :)
