Cabin Fever

It's February....the dead of winter. The need for socialization is great! We spent a Saturday night out with some of our good friends! It was good to have a night out with those close to us. Here Rachelle and I pose for a close up!
Justin and Nick are hanging out on Rachelle and Jeremy's couch. Watching the hockey game.

Three amigos! Nick, Rachelle, and I used to hang out alot when Justin was still out in Montana. It was necessary to get a picture of the old gang again! We had a great time mingling and laughing!

Old buddies! Justin and Ben Maurer....good friends since high school. It had been about that long too since they last spent time together! It was fun seeing them together again....things haven't changed that much in 7 years! Is that a good or bad thing? :)

Hanging out at Rachelle's before we made the movie downtown! Rachelle and Jeremy recently built a house together....it's now our hang-out for get togethers :) Good times had by all. It made us forget that the weather outside was still pretty frightful. On this night we had gotten about 6 inches of new snow.....not good for the little Saturn! Vrrrrooooom!

Un-Valentine

Justin and I have never truly enjoyed Valentine's Day.....we feel it's merely a superficial/commercial/obligated holiday. So we try to mix things up and do something WE want to do. Since we were apart last year (and send cards via snail mail) we got to spend the day together this year! We headed over to our friends Kim and Adam's house for a night of juicy fun!
Kim and Adam just got a power juicer....so we wanted to try it out! As you can see we ran out of room. The freshest drinks ever made!

Kim and I were on dinner duty....we made a lovely shrimp & veggie pasta! It was quite the trip- we all went grocery shopping together for the food...it was funny to see the guys with a huge cart full of fruit!

Justin was in charge of peeling the oranges and prepping the fruit for the juicer. The smells in the room were great! It made us feel (for just a second) that we were on the beach sipping tropical drinks.

So much fruit, so little time!! I believe we got our RDA of vitamins for the night :) That power juicer took the pulp right out of the fruit! Amazing!

This was the damage. We spent about $35 on fruit. Look how beautiful it is! On a snowy winter's night, it was great to have something FRESH to consume. Ahhh how I miss the warm weather.

Valentine's Day just happens to be our 6year 4month mark :) Yay!

Justin had his plum/pineapple juice, I had my lime/pineapple/apple margarita! Best homemade drinks ever! A great way to spend un-valentines day.

Kim & Adam. We had a blast guys! Maybe we should make this an annual tradition :)
