Justin has landed a job here in TC!!!!! He interviewed for an assistant position for TC Wealth Management (a small business downtown) while he was here in August. He was their first interview....out of 20. There were also 70 applicants to begin with...so we were all a little nervous but KNEW Justin would pull it off and win them over with his charm. So, he had the interview- felt it went very well, he was pretty pumped after it. He took a series of personality tests (to make sure he fit in with the small office environment). They called him Thursday to let him know he was their #1 pick for the position!!! He was very relieved and happy. He has finally caught that break he was needing..........after switching majors and dealing with all that came with that, this is exactly what he needed.
Justin will be a support "guy" for the financial planners at this business. He will be a professional employee- dressing up, getting a cubicle, the whole nine yards. Time for a wardrobe expansion!! This is a great opportunity for him to get his foot in the door here, and learn all about financial planning (this is what he is really interested in doing). The guys at TC Wealth are very cool, laid back, genuine, and easy to get along with----very Justin. He fits there. I am so happy for him!
This also means......he will have a definite date in which he will start the job, and when he will have to be back in TC!! Very good news for me too :) The job will also work out with his class schedule---he will be at Davenport come spring. We may even be at the University Center on the same class nights! What a concept :) It's going to be GREAT having him back here, comforting really. He's moving on up in the world and we couldn't be more proud. He mayb be your CFP someday!!

London!!
For those of you who haven't been in the "circle" of knowing......my family and the Knapp's have decided to take on another holiday vacation---this one being Christmas. We are all going to London!!!!! All of us a thrilled, excited, nervous, and super anxious to head across the big pond. We will be leaving TC (and Moscow) on Christmas Day....returning on January 4th 2009. Ten whole days to explore England :) How amazing!! I am sure this will be one rip roaring adventure as San Francisco proved to be for us all. And since Justin will be already moved back to Michigan by then- he will be flying with me (and my family) to London!! This will be our 2nd time only, flying together....it's sort of a big deal :)
My sister Lindsey and her husband Rob will be living there by then (cross our fingers) so we will be meeting up with them to spend Christmas together. Lindsey has been having issues with getting her work Visa....so their living in London has been put on "hold" for about another month. They are living here at home, working at upward bound until all the paperwork has been finalized for the big move. Frustrating, but also fun to spend more time with them.
We have decided to share an apartment with the Knapp's in London- instead of the same old hotel "experience". This will be interesting- and im sure....hilarious. The apartment is right on the Themes River...located on the Canary Wharf. Very beautiful if you just imagine. It sleeps 6 so Justin and I are shackin' up on the pull- out couch! Haha. Im so excited to get the chance to go back to London- I was there when I was 14, and 16.....but didn't have time to really explore. This will be a great chance.
We may come back with british accents, and only want to drink tea with our 'strumpets'! Merry Christmas!
