Goodbye June!

It's hard to believe June is already over! The month flew by....though we had some nasty weather this month, it was still sunny for the last few days! Well, my dad bit the bullett and got himself a new fishing boat this spring- it's a Lund, and he just loves it! This one is more spacious, can carry 8 people, and is pretty classy. Dad and I took it out on West Bay a few nights ago for a little test-drive! The lakes in TC are amazing.
This was the lake the night we went boating. Not too sunny, but it was balmy and lots of boaters were making the rounds through the harbors. Saw many huge lake houses as well. The binoculars came in handy once or twice to get the full effect of how the "other half" live :)
One happy thing that happened this month--Ellie Clous was born!!! My good friend Kaytlyn (we go back to the kindergarten days) had a baby girl June 17th. She was 5 weeks early and only weighs 6lbs so far- very precious as you can see. Ellie has only been home for 3 days- but is adjusting well to her new life (with 3 cats and 2 dogs!). Kaytlyn was glowing and took on her montherly role so naturally.
Holding babies is a work out- as you can see im a little sweaty in this picture! She slept the whole 4 hours I was visiting. It's tiring when you're only 12 days old :) I even got to feed her. I love little babies...and she was just too cute to let go of!
This is my other good friend Amy (we go back to the 7th grade!) who came along with me for the visit. Amy also has a daughter, named Macy who is now 1 year old! Shes a natural as you can see with the babe. Ellie slept in a little ball the whole time--shes not used to being outside of the womb yet! All in all, it was a surreal evening- my two good friends are mommies! We shared stories and reminisced of the "old days" and we plan to stay in contact with each other for more get-together's!

Full House!

My sister Lindsey and her husband Rob are now living back in the Guy household for the summer! L & R moved back to TC from being in Phoenix for 4 years. It was time to move on to the next chapter---which will be Europe by September for them! They plan on working here with the Upward Bound program this summer and preparing for an over-seas lifestyle. It's been almost 3 weeks now since they've arrived. It has been a lot of fun having my sister back! Here we are on the deck at North Peak for dinner! It was a perfect summer night.
Mom and I love the sun probably more than you will know :) We worship it! The deck at NP was the only place to be that night- and the cherry chicken salads are worth the trip!
Moomer's is our favorite place for ice cream- especially since it won best ice cream in America!! We're pretty lucky here in TC. Rob and Linds are enjoying their cones!
The sky on this particular evening was very dramatic. I took this shot as we left North Peak and it was amazing! It later poured, lightning'ed (?), and then hailed the very next day!
This is the hial storm we had on Father's Day! The hail was almost golf ball sized. After the storm it became sunny and calm again----crazy June weather! This month so far has been very unpredictable. Bring on the hot temps!!
